Hi All,
I've been doing some outreach for the past few years. All of my contacts have come from a single prisoner writing to the center where I practice; from there, relationships can develop.
I am wondering about the best way to reach out to prisoners at a local prison. Should I just write to the chaplain, tell him what we can offer, and go from there?
Have people developed any kind of materials that they use to "sell" introductory meditation classes to the clergy at prisons? That is, is there a better chance of success for MBSR type programs? Have people found it helpful to talk about the scientifically established results about the effects of meditation practice?
Thanks,
Christian
