I'm wondering, and not to well, what is the difference between space and distance

Onegaishimasu, this is a personal opinion and I'm not saying this to be funny, but since space is the distance between two points, they could well be the same thing, but not the same thing as the two points.

It depends on use. In math, I think distance refers to a measurement of space between two points. Space is used to describe 3 dimensions (right/left, up/down, deeper/nearer).

Spaciousness has also been used to describe Buddha mind or Buddha nature. Here, it is contrasted with the inherently closed off space of the unenlightened mind, hampered by the fetters.
I was and will continue to be bad at math.    :(
