- I have been practicing as a Buddhist monk since 2003.
In 2006 I came to Deer Park Monastery, CA and started getting involved in Prison Dharma, mostly correspondence and as pen pal.

Glad you found us! This is a wonderful online community that we hope serves you. We'd love for you to post a picture of yourself as well, it helps others to see they are communicating with real humans!
Two things you may be interested in... We have a great webinar coming up, that you may be interested in called "The Path to Freedom." Its a course for those who are interested in working with prison populations and also just in general in our lives. I've taken it 3 times already and I highly recommend it!
