"Hi Stephen, just wondering how the program you were designing, turned out. Sounds like the focus on addiction, anger mgt, group home, had alot of merit. Did you get it up and running? Where does the MBSR fit into the program? Brad"

I am new to all of this so I had to ask my wife (which I find out you know of her from the auswitch???? retreat this year Lenore Flynn) what a blog is? She informed me I don't have one. What I am trying to do from a prison perspective is to change the methods in which therapeutic programs are administered. This will require changing the methods of administration of vocational and educational programs as well. It will mean getting the support of CO's and others. I have support of the Dep of programs at my facility but he doesn't have a clue as to the depth of my ideas. My proposal (work in progress) is to incorporate stress management (mbsr) developing a support system by meeting those that the inmate is going to live with while the inmate is in the program, bring in experiential learning exercises. Incorporate addiction and anger management programs and transactional phase two. phase two is an educational/cognitive based program 3 mo. long includes nutrition, development, effects of incarceration on families, parenting skill, portfolio development etc. These programs are available and are essentially good programs but I want to see how the are delivered changed. I would like to see voc and ed programs administer together and therapeutic programs administered together. I have talked way to much but I guess I have a blog now eh! This is the basics of my idea. My biggest problem is getting to the right people to have them listen to what I have to say and take me sereious.
