Hi, I am Carter. I am administrative staff and the Books Behind Bars coordinator here at Prison Dharma Network. I started working here in October 2011 after spending a year as a resident at Upaya Zen Center in Santa Fe. I have an M.Div degree from Emory University and I did my Clinical Pastoral Education at Metro State Women's Prison in Atlanta, Georgia, which is a maximum security facility.

Thanks for the warm welcome. It means a great deal to me. This time of the year has a tendency to bring much suffering to the surface. I'll write more soon, and send some pics of the recent snow here in Boulder. Right now my best buddy (beagle named Ez) calls.

Ours is a very modest undertaking. Nobody at the meeting last week. There is a lot of traffic through the unit. We are generally viewed as an exotic item by the staff, though I've been treated well enough going in and coming out. The chaplain has been increasingly supportive.

Thank you for the Friendship ..at the moment i need to check how it works with the site and all .. i am very glad to find you all here ..i work for prisoner a long Time and practice the Dharma,so i am very happy to be in this community and i hope to bring myself in with information videos and articels and i hope that i can work for the best of the whole,i grow up in borstel houses and was my whole youth in Prison from 1974 for --1978 here in germany  ..i am 54 years old now but never could get over the time i was in Prison and still looking for answers why this was happening to me ..--i study a lot books about Prison all books i could get ---i am self educated,and speak german and  english --..i am very intressted in discussion about prison and about dharma....All the good wind to you all .thank you all for keeping up this good work ..
