Drawing from well over 6 years of certified NVC training with Nonviolent Communication developer Marshall Rosenberg & other CNVC-recognized trainers, Mercedes shares her understanding and deep passion for this important work - particularly in social change with at-risk-youth as well as educators, nonprofits, prisons.  Mercedes has offered NVC skills to hundreds around Florida, including individuals, schools, organizations, and spiritual communities.  She firmly believes this valuable work is the key to harmony and resilience for our future.
 
Ms. Frace is a recognized regional NVC trainer in the Southeast U.S. and has been offering trainings in Nonviolent Communication for over 6 years throughout the U.S.  Mercedes organized 8 of the 11 Florida NVC events plus two for Marshall Rosenberg, in 2007 & 2008.  As a candidate for certification with CNVC and in 2009 Mercedes was selected by the global Center for Nonviolent Communication as their Communication Coordinator.  As a participant in the renound 2-year NVC LIFE Program with Robert Gonzales Mercedes is gaining deeper understanding of the spiritual underpinnings of NVC, "Living Energy of Needs" work, compassionate self-care, and living compassion. 
 
Remotely, Mercedes co-founded a homeschooling nonprofit in South Sarasota County in 2002.  More recently, Mercedes is active as a volunteer programmer for grassroots community radio station WSLRin Sarasota; she is a founding and active board member of the Peace Education & Action Center (501(c)(3), is an apprentice in Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP), and Restorative Circles facilitator.  
 
Born & raised in Michigan, Mercedes resides in Sarasota area with her 13-year-old daughter where she continues to co-author her first book about practicing nonviolence.
