Hi Taunya -- Thank you so much for your post about your experience working in prisons. I am glad to have you here talking about what you are witnessing and asking how to keep your heart open despite the intensity of suffering. That question is the same one that many of us who have family and friends inside, or who have done time ourselves, share too. I am thankful to hear your perspectives on that question.

Also, if you ever wanted to post a blog or start a discussion about your work with youth prisoners I'd love to hear what kinds of questions or concerns or insights come up for you. What is the most frustrating thing about your work? The most rewarding?
We have people in our organization who work with kids at Lookout Mountain in Golden who might be interested in your experiences. And I would as well!
