How you are involved in Prison Dharma

Tell us about yourself & your interest in prison dharma: (answer required) .
I have practiced dharma for the last 12 years. I volunteered in the prison system in Wisconsin for several years before moving to Mongolia. I participated in Restorative Justice training programs through The Prison Ministry Program, sponsored by the First Congregational Church in Madison WI. I have volunteered with Madison Urban Ministries and a program called "Read to Me" at Oakhill Correctional Facility. Over a ten year period I also spoke at various prisons in Wisconsin about being a crime victim (survivor). In 2008-9 I produced a series of video programs with inmates at Columbia Correctional Facility, a maximum security prison in Wisconsin, called "Video Dialogues" which we used as an outreach tool for connecting with specifically targeted groups in the community.
