I'm a member of portland shambhala and belong to the Socially Engaged Shambhala ning network. I have worked with 'criminal addicts' in the past, providing counseling, case management and addictions/recovery instruction to incarcerated offenders and/or parolees. 30 years of personal recovery from addiction and 20+ years of spiritual practice help bring empathy, compassion and understanding to one of the primary contributors to eventual incarceration.
