Senarble Campbell from Salinas Valley State Prison wrote:

Mentally I have traveled across the world,
but physically I am incarcerated.

However I still crave for my freedom,
Maybe one day the physical aspect of my life will get parole.
If not, I will continue to travel mentally.

There isn't a fee for me to travel mentally,
Although physically I am paying everyday
Incarcerted.

Am I asking too much to not want to suffer?

Or being chased by my inner struggles while

Trying to avoid the external troubles?



Issues, confusion, doubts, and many more are

no longer creeping under my cell door.

For they have moved in
