Radical Responsibility: A Pathway to Authentic Relationships and Social Transformation at Boston Shambhala Center

February 8, 2013 at 6pm to February 10, 2013 at 12pm
Radical Responsibility, the title of a forthcoming book by Acharya Fleet Maull, is an approach to realizing personal freedom and creating authentic relationships based on choosing to take 100% responsibility or ownership not only for what we clearly create in life but also for whatever shows up, regardless of any apparent connection to our own actions. In this provocative weekend program, Acharya Maull will draw clear distinctions between genuine responsibility and the shame-based blaming that…See More

The Fires of Forgiveness

Well - our class yesterday was extremely challenging and insightful. I suppose that is how it goes with growth - not always comfortable (in fact, I don't think it ever is!) yet totally necessary for our evolution. Kind of one of those conundrums of being human...That being said, there are many things I would do differently next time…See More

Courage

Our class at women's today started out with a hiccup. "I'm not feeling good" she said looking towards her feet "I don't think I can stay." Her eyes were far gone from the moment which our incredibly skilled facilitator Rebecca noticed and proceeded to take one to connect with her feelings. She then asked her "Can you stay and just try to hold your space here with us?" Thinking for a second, she shook her head towards those same feet and then towards the sky -- took (and held) her seat for the…See More

Who's Crazy? Where's Stupid? How Emotional? What's Intelligence?

As some of you know, I have been practicing on and walking down the Shambhala Path since beginning my work with Kate Crisp (our incredibly wise and dedicated executive director) and founder of PMI, Fleet Maull almost two years ago. It is a path which is quite extraordinary and yet ordinary at the same time. One of my favorite sayings from this path, or at least one that sticks with me, is a statement appreciated by the…See More

I read something tonight & thought of you:

Walpola Rahula: "... the realizaion of truth is revolution not evolution ..." ('Questioning Krishnamurti,' (1996) Thorsons: San Francisco, p25).

Specifically, I thought of your practice, your moments, and your revolution, and I smiled.
