Buddhism and Alcoholics Anonymous resources

Here are some resources that were posted on our Prison Dharma Talk Listserv a couple of months back, about Buddhism and AA:

*www.judithragir.org for a downloadable series of 12 Step talks by a Buddhist priest/teacher. They're in MP3 format (iPod friendly)
and appropriate for anyone interested in working the steps.

*book: The Zen of Recovery by Mel Ash

Twelve Steps on Buddha’s Path by Laura S.

*Here's a book on the subject:

Also, here's an article on the world's possibly most radical approach to addiction. Interesting reading. It illustrates an extreme and very different approach to addition and detox than the one used in the West. It is based on a vow: satja. Apparently it has worked for Australians and a handful of British addicts.
