Hi Ed! Good to hear from you! Yes, I did hear about Bradley -- he will be a great loss to the KTC community. I'm glad to hear you've joined Eric in prison ministry. The most important thing I've learned about doing prison dharma is the power of presence -- as Woody Allen said "showing up is 99% of life. In Zen, they have the three pure precepts which I find are at the heart of chaplaincy where ever you serve: Not knowing, bearing witness and compassionate action. Compassionate action emerges from the first two.
Hi Jim! Ed Powers here. Been on the KTC prison service with Eric for a little while now. Really haven't gotten a good feel for what I'm doing yet. Really want to help, but feel a little like a third wheel.
