Thanks for your help, Samara! Is this where I would post to get a hold of the dharma mentors? Were you suggesting that I should get in touch Jarvis J. Masters? Diane
Hi Melinda, I have received no answer from my assigned penpal. Could you please send me another list so I can continue with the project. Thank you,
Iris
I'm not sure of your name, but I'm glad to hear from someone who grew up here in Cedar Rapids - it's a great place. Thanks for all the good work you do.
Hi, Melinda. I had a note from you ages back and didn't see it. I'd like to have a prison pen pal. Please let me know how to proceed.
Also, I wonder if anyone at the PDN has information on the women's prison in bedford, NY. I've been thinking about starting a sitting group there and would be grateful for any guidance you might have.
Thanks.
In gassho,
Susan

Hi Melinda
Id like to support a prisoner via email. I contacted two you suggested but didn't hear back from either. Could you please assist me to connect with a prisoner. Thanks Nigel
Hi Melinda, thanks for the friend request. I amnew to the penpal thing and would appreciate some advice. I am awaiting a reply from the first letter I sent. How long should it take?
I am interested in becoming a pen pal, but like the person below (Kathleen), I do not belong to any organized Buddhist group. I am hoping to speak with other pen pals before making my commitment. Any help you can offer will be appreciated
Thank you Melinda. I first got interested in the network after reading a piece by Fleet Maull. I am hesitant to volunteer as a Pen Pal because I really admire Buddhism but I do not know or participate in any Buddhist ritual. I think the work is absolutely fantastic which is why I have contributed for years. I don't know what I have to offer as a volunteer or penpal beyond love, respect, and an open ear.
Cheers,
Kathleen
I have already gotten set up on the pen pal program and am waiting to hear back from the inmate I wrote to. I actually had a question regarding the pen pal program. Once I have received correspondence from an inmate am I supposed to contact someone at PDN so they can take his name off the list so that other inmates have a better chance to find a pen pal?
Hi Melinda
I have a new keyboard and my spelling & typing seem strange. Anyhow, thanks for the welcome. I'll spend few days contemplting how I want to be involved & then I'll jump in! See you around. Lama Nigel.
